Lisa and James had their beautiful wedding ceremony at the Pavillion in Queen Elizabeth Park. But our day started much earlier than that. I met up with Lisa, her bridesmaids and family as they were getting ready in Lisa parents house – the house she grew up in. It’s always nice when those roots of the past are still in place on your wedding day! While the girls were getting ready my second shooter was busy photographing the guys, as they got ready at Lisa and James apartment.
Once everyone was set we met at Olympic Village for a first look. The first look is always a nice moment, and makes for some nice photos. There is just so much excitement and anticipation in the air! After the first look we made our way around Olympic Village for some photos of the bridal party as well as a few of Lisa and James on their own. From there we headed up to Queen Elizabeth Park where we got a few more photos and then prepared for the ceremony.
The Ceremony at QE was beautiful. From there everyone was excited and ready to let loose. The reception was at the beautiful UBC Boathouse, in Richmond. It is such a beautiful venue, with floor to ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light. The reception was catered by Savoury City and the food was delicious! Aimee from Girl on Wax provided the tunes and had everyone dancing while Briar, the amazing wedding planner from Epic Events made sure the day flowed along without a hitch.
All in all this was a wonderful day, which I am so happy to have been a part of! Thanks Lisa and James!
